No wonder everyone raves about Australia! I was fortunate enough to spend the last week there, and it was absolutely fantastic. Everyone's so friendly and so grounded. It didn't have the busy-busy-busy vibe that America does, but is a lot like America in most other respects. Except the massive spiders, of course. No thanks. I was only there for a few days for a conference, but I got to see the zoo, the aquarium, and go hiking along the coast. A few things I noted:
1) Koalas are WAY cuter than I expected
2) Driving on the left side of the road is just bizarre
3) I need to live somewhere where I can just go surfing whenever I feel like it year-round. Like, now.
